General Terms and Conditions
Following terms and conditions will apply to any order you place to Southern Wine Roads Limited, hereinafter will be referred to as “us”, “we” or “our”.
Placing an Order
It is illegal to sell alcohol to anyone under 18 years of age in the United Kingdom. By ordering any alcoholic products on our webpage, on the telephone or by email, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old at the time of the order.
Orders can be placed over the phone stated on our website, by email ([email protected]) or via our website. To be able to order via our website, you need to create an online account using an e-mail address. The validity of the email address will be verified by our online system to protect our customers from online fraud activities. We accept direct debit and credit cards (registered in the UK only to be able to use 3D secure authentication infrastructure). Amex cards are not accepted. Phone calls related to orders may be recorded. Customers placing orders over the phone or by email may choose to transfer the funds to our company bank accounts or pay by cheque. The dispatch will take place after the full receipt of the funds or after the cheque is cleared. Clearing cheques may take up to seven days. Our company has the right to decline to conduct a commercial transaction with any company or persons.
Accepting or Rejecting an Order
Once we accept your order, we will notify you using the email provided by you. We have the right to reject any offer to buy. Until the order is accepted, no contract has come to effect between you and our company.
Regarding the alcoholic drinks that are promoted and sold on this website, any information other than the product brand name and grape variety (or varieties) used for the making of the product, are to provide general information about the product. Such information that is intended to provide general information is not part of the contract between you and our company in the case that your offer to buy is accepted by our company as described above.
Our prices are subject to change without prior notice. Our prices may be stated over the phone or on an email or on a product catalogue or on this website. In case an item is under or overpriced by mistake, the difference between the actual and the charged price will be returned to whichever party, you or our company retains the excess. In the case that a price is understated, you have the right to cancel the order before the dispatch and you will be refunded for any payments you have made. Prices shown on our web page are in £ sterling and inclusive of VAT.
Our company may run different promotions from time to time and with or without a declared end date. Our company has the right to cease the promotion at any time or extend the end date.
Delivery & Receipt of Products
We will endeavour the best effort to dispatch your order 1 to 5 days after the order is placed and order acceptance.

If you wish your products to be shipped to one of the below territories or outside of UK, you should get in touch with us by phone or email to discuss the shipping terms as above rates do not apply.
Excluded territories: Northern Ireland, Scottish Isles, Isle of Mann, Isle of Wight, and Channel Isles.
We have the right to update these rates with the condition of informing you before you place an order. Delivery will be made to the address provided by you. If you are not present at the delivery address at the time of the delivery, receipt of the products should be arranged by you and the delivery company. Our company can provide you with the shipment tracking number upon request.
Guarantee, Inspection and Checks
Upon delivery, you are required to inspect the items within 7 days. Any faulty products will be either replaced or the price paid for the faulty product(s) will be reimbursed. Any replacement requests after 7 days will be handled at the discretionary of our company.
Ordering Mixed Products
Your order can consist of different wines and other drinks sold by us. If one or more products become unavailable after your order is accepted and before the dispatch takes place, we will contact you to serve you in the best possible way. We can offer to replace the product with another product with a matching or a higher price. In the case that our alternative offers are not up to your expectations, you have the right to cancel your order and you will be reimbursed for the amount you paid.
Orders for goods can be cancelled within 7 working days of receipt of goods. You have the responsibility to return the products in good condition and arrange and pay for the delivery. Products should be returned when and if the return request is confirmed by our company in writing. Products should be delivered to the address provided by our company. Any other costs relating to the return of goods will be paid by you. We have the right to apply a £15+VAT handling fee for the return requests. If the returned products are in good condition to sell, we will reimburse the amount within 7 working days after the receipt of the products. If the returned products are not in good condition to sell, we can either decline the receipt of the products or ship the products back to you and charge the re-delivery fee.
