#2 Nerantzi Malagousia 2020

Evanthia’s most personal, yet most commercially acknowledged wine. Strict fruit selection, slightly prolonged pre-fermentation skin contact, slow fermentation on the lees and a late release of each vintage play importantly in the success of the wine. This is a solid quality bottle demanding admiration. Like a swan, moves in our glasses, our palates and our memories in mesmerising dances. A constant London sommeliers favourite!

#3 Afianes Litani 2018

Not every vintage is fortunate enough to deliver a wine so pure, concentrated and generous as this one. Made from the white Ikarian variety Begleri, this cuvée has it all: substantial body, intriguing taste that develops in the mouth and through subsequent sips, vibrant acidity & a holding finish. Well made, unique & a vintage that competed in the Sommelier Wine Awards and got a ‘singing’ gold medal. But more than that, now is at the peak of its development with the broadest of taste expression. This wine is truly a gift! 

#4 Vriniotis Assyrtiko sur Lies 2019

Voted by experts as the best Assyrtiko of Greece outside Santorini and the reasons are obvious. It ferments with its own natural yeasts over 6 months with periodic lees stirring in inactive vats in order to deliver purity and depth of flavours. Its taste ranges from ripe pomelo to nectarine and almond flesh. Savoury but in a truly elegant way and with a long satisfying finish. Made by the three most celebrated white Greek grape varieties - of the last 3 decades, at least - Assyrtiko, Malagousia and Moschofilero, this is a wine to enchant! Body, enticing aromas, a luscious balance of texture, lively acidity and that residual comforting sweetness, all there against a gentle delicious fizz, ready to transport you to a tasting pleasure without complications. #6 Vakakis Pythagorean Cup 2020

The fruit for this Samian semi-sweet Muscat Blanc wine comes from the winemaker’s own vineyards, found at high altitudes and personally tended by himself all year round. They produce the most concentrated & vibrant grapes possible. The fermentation is spontaneous and continues until the residual sugars reach optimal level. The wine is truly shiny with fragrant notes of honeysuckle, nectarine, apricot, sultanas and flower honey. Super yummy with refreshing acidity and a long, satisfying finish.
